Hitachi ABB Power Grids has delivered its Rail SFC (Static Frequency Converter) Light power conversion technology to Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), supporting SBB’s goal of transitioning toward renewable power sources while increasing the energy efficiency of its rail network.

The solution provided will ensure reliable, stable power and reduce energy losses for the newly expanded Léman Express cross-border commuter service.
