The result reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability. Key initiatives include the development of the UK’s first hydrogen-powered train HydroFLEX, and the launch into passenger service of the battery-diesel hybrid vehicle HybridFLEX which significantly cuts CO2 emissions, saves fuel, and reduces noise and air pollution.
Each year, GRESB assesses and benchmarks the ESG performance of assets worldwide, providing clarity and insights for financial markets on complex sustainability topics. Porterbrook came first in its peer group in the benchmark and for the fourth year in a row scored a five-star rating.
